Sustainability Initiatives

We understand the importance of environmental sustainability. We strive to minimize our carbon footprint by implementing energy-efficient technologies in our offices and reducing paper usage through digital solutions. For employees who do commute to our offices, we promote the use of public transportation, carpooling, biking, and walking to reduce emissions associated with daily travel.

We are dedicated to optimizing energy consumption in our offices. This includes using energy-efficient lighting and appliances. Our offices are designed to maximize natural lighting and ventilation to reduce the need for artificial lighting and cooling/heating.

Ethical Business Practices

Our commitment to ethical business practices extends to our interactions with clients and candidates. We follow fair labour practices and ensure transparency in our recruitment processes. These practices include but are not limited to, the confidentiality of our professional partners, infrastructure in the interest of professional development for our employees, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies and fair compensation in the pursuit of equitable and competitive compensation packages for JMC employees and the clients we represent.

Our Partnership with Ecologi | B Corp™

In hopes of reducing our carbon footprint, we actively invest in carbon offset projects to balance any emissions that we can't completely eliminate. These investments support renewable energy, reforestation, and other initiatives that help combat climate change. 

One example of this is the partnership we undertook in July 2023 when we made the decision to actively invest in offsetting our carbon emissions with Ecologi | B Corp™. 

We initiated an internal plan to match our placements made by consultants with the planting of trees.
By regenerating forests, the projects create positive socioeconomic and environmental impacts on the local communities. 

Since teaming up with Ecologi we have funded the planting of over 1000 trees and we are excited to continually review our internal sustainability goals, made possible through this partnership.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Matthew Wargen

We understand that the well-being of our team members is a crucial aspect of our CSR commitment. To ensure the mental and emotional health of our employees, we have appointed a dedicated Mental Health First Aider within our organisation.

Matt Wargen, our Mental Health First Aider serves as a compassionate and confidential resource for our employees, offering a non-judgmental space for them to discuss their concerns, seek guidance, and receive support. He is trained to recognise the signs of mental health issues, offer initial help, and provide referrals to professional mental health resources when necessary.

We are proud to have taken this step to prioritize mental health in the workplace, as we believe that a healthy, supportive work environment is fundamental to the well-being of our team members.

During his short time as MHFA, Matt has been invaluable to JMC. His support of the team has seen a profound impact on our employees, he has contributed to the workplace where everyone is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
